Tips on Mobile Phone Charging Problems

Posted by afan

Sometimes, you may connect your phone to power supply and it will display "Not Charging" .The following are the problem areas and solutions.

· Use another charger to eliminate the possibility of a bad charger.

· Make sure that the charger you use is the recommended one. This will eliminate the possibility of damage to the battery or phone or both as well as effect to the battery life span.

· If you want to use a USB for charging, make sure that your phone supports it and that the option is switched on.

· Use or try another battery to eliminate the possibility of a bad battery.

· If the battery has been out of use for awhile, it may take awhile before the charging icon appears. In the alternative, you could have it boosted by a technician.

· High quality batteries will eventually loose power retention capacity. The battery may need a replacement.

· The charging port may be bad. Have it replaced by a certified technician.

Water damage to phone must be avoided by all means. In some phones, once the fast port connector is water damaged, the phone will develop charging problems.

Some phones require that you put off the power before charging to get the best from your battery. Others require that you don't charge until the battery is completely drained, otherwise the battery overall life will soon be ruined. The phone manual will always indicate how to go about charging for battery optimization.

A non-original (fake) battery could result in poor performance and could damage your device apart from the possibility of invalidating your warranty. If your battery gets swollen and the warranty period of six months is not gone, go to the service provider for a replacement.

Network coverage inadequacy drains battery power. If the phone is always searching for signal, it depletes battery power. In this case, the battery may not have any problem. Solve this problem by choosing a service provider with better coverage of the area.

Meanwhile, battery consumption rate increases with so many applications running in the background such as games, Bluetooth, infrared, calendar events, alarms, lengthy ringtones and voice calls amongst others.
